PSIA-AASI: Education Foundation
Overview:
I led all day-to-day efforts and worked closely with the CEO and volunteer committee to build a groundwork for successful fundraising. I also created the foundation for 6 scholarships that enhance snowsports education opportunities.
Objectives:
- Create a robust financial framework to ensure sustained support for organizational programs.
- Drive innovation by introducing new scholarship tracks and implementing an efficient system for award reviews.
My Role:
- Directed creative efforts, producing all education foundation collateral and engaging in fiscal management to optimize fund use.
- Established and managed six scholarship tracks, broadening educational pathways.
- Led scholarship committees, overseeing the effective distribution of funds.
- Implemented a systemwide online tool for standardized track reviews, enhancing efficiency.
- Streamlined scholarship operations, managing application software, centralized awarding and committee oversight.
Results:
- Within 3 years of the project’s inception, over 300 individuals and 30 snowsports schools received scholarships, significantly advancing educational support.
- Established a foundation for donors through named scholarships and planned giving, attracting substantial gifts.
- In the 2021-22 season alone, distributed $60,000 in scholarship funds, with 320 applications and over 140 deserving individuals awarded.
- Introduced 6 innovative scholarship tracks, fostering a culture of increased support and generosity, solidifying the organization's leadership in snowsports education.
